p>Job Summary: In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is responsible for ensuring proper maintenance by monitoring vehicle inspection, maintenance and repairs; monitoring the investigation of vehicle accidents; coordinating vehicle reassignments and replacements; monitoring the resolution of complaints regarding maintenance of vehicles; planning the maintenance of maintenance systems; managing drivers to meet safety, performance, and regulatory expectations by planning driving assignments to guarantee coverage for all routes; coordinating dispatch instruction to drivers to communicate customer needs; monitoring the communication of traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards to drivers; monitoring the resolution of questions, problems, or requests from drivers; coordinating instructions of drivers to ensure high on-time delivery performance and fleet profitability; organizing driver trainings to ensure compliance with driver safety procedures; operating vehicle fleet dispatcher services by monitoring the matching drivers and equipment to a load plan and start time; planning the coordination of transportation schedules; monitoring the scheduling of delivery with drivers; monitoring communications with drivers throughout shifts, recording driver/equipment location and job status; overseeing the resolution of transportation issues (e.g., damaged products); scheduling and assigning work to team members; monitoring driver/equipment utilization; and maintaining regular contact with team members, drivers and members regarding matters of operational concern.
Ensures adequate levels of inventory are maintained by: supervising the resolution of the receipt and distribution of inventory, and developing processes for the transactions and requests for supplies, equipment, and services; reviewing results from quantitative/qualitative analyses to forecast demand to minimize obsolescence or expiration; widely applying strategies for maintaining automated inventory and ordering systems to support inventory reconciliation and supervising routine inventory counts; confirming a wide range of complex reorder levels are updated, maintained, and adhered to so that proper product rotation remains valid, and inventory levels are accurate; and working collaboratively with contacts internal and external to the organization to maintain the inventory control system (e.g., ensure accuracy of product line, proper level of stock, rotation of product, cleanliness of product/carts).
