Responsibilities include: Prepare surgical patients for procedures, including placing IV catheters and administering pre-anesthetic medications Induce, monitor, and maintain anesthesia under the direction of the veterinarian Confidently monitor anesthetic patients and recognize changes in patient status Perform surgical monitoring, including anesthesia monitoring and patient parameter documentation Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures and patient care Provide thorough post-operative monitoring and recovery Perform patient treatments, venipuncture, catheter placement, and other veterinary technician duties Maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and treatment areas Assist with a variety of surgical cases, including soft tissue surgery, foreign body procedures, orthopedic cases, TECA procedures, and more Participate in monthly spay/neuter clinics supporting local animal rescues Work collaboratively with veterinarians and the veterinary technician team to provide high-quality patient care.
