Purpose Statement The job of Facilities & Construction Maintenance Technician IV is done for the purposes of providing maintenance services with specific responsibility for ensuring completion of assigned work order projects, performing a wide variety of skilled maintenance activities (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical, ventilating systems, special systems, welding, locksmith, etc.), assisting other maintenance workers, and ensuring that tools and materials are available at the job site. Performs a variety of journey-level functions in one or more of the trades (e.g., plumbing, painting, HVAC, carpentry, welding, refrigeration, special systems, carpet installation, sheet metal, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects within established time frames.
