This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in doing the job right, and is looking for steady evening work with supplemental income opportunities.</p><h3>Job Responsibilities</h3><p>As a District Porter, you will be responsible for providing doorstep waste and recycling collection services at assigned apartment communities.</p><p>Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Collecting bagged trash and recycling from residents' doorsteps at assigned apartment communities</li><li>Traveling to markets within a 4-hour radius as needed for evening service coverage</li><li>Transporting collected waste to the community's onsite compactor or dumpster</li><li>Maintaining broom-swept cleanliness around compactors, dumpsters, trash chutes, and collection areas</li><li>Changing dog station bags and common area waste bags</li><li>Providing professional and courteous service when interacting with residents and property staff</li><li>Following assigned routes, service standards, and company procedures</li><li>Completing all work safely, accurately, and on time</li></ul><h3>Compensation</h3><ul><li>$150 per day</li><li>$125 per day for Friday and Saturday coverage</li><li>W2 employment position</li><li>Pay issued by direct deposit on the 5th and 20th of each month</li><li>Valid bank account required for payroll processing</li></ul><h3>Schedule and Hours</h3><ul><li>Main schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM</li><li>Friday and Saturday coverage: 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM</li><li>Must be available to work 2 weekends per month</li><li>Shift length is typically 5 to 7 hours per night, depending on route and pace</li><li>Average weekly hours: 25 to 35 hours</li><li>Additional shifts may be available based on performance, reliability, and business needs</li><li>Up to 5 shifts per week may be available</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><p>Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:</p><ul><li>Smartphone with an active data plan for route communication and task verification</li><li>At least 5 years of clean driving experience to be eligible for a company truck</li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance</li><li>Ability to climb stairs and walk for extended periods during evening shifts</li><li>Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions</li><li>Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently</li><li>Positive attitude and strong work ethic</li><li>Commitment to professionalism, safety, and high-quality service</li></ul><h3>Ideal Candidate</h3><p>The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working evening hours with minimal supervision.
