This position accurately applies ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, including skills required in performing a variety of technical procedures, resulting in the highest quality diagnostic radiographs with the least amount of radiation exposure to the patient. Adjusts technical factors to provide appropriate exposure by use of independent judgment, knowledge of human anatomy, effect of disease on the radiograph, and the principles of radiation, as well as the specific operation of all radiologic equipment within the department.
