Plans and initiates a therapeutic regimen that includes ordering and prescribing nonpharmacological interventions, including durable medical equipment, medical devices, nutrition, blood and blood products, and diagnostic and supportive services, including, home health care, hospice, and physical and occupational therapy. Communicates with and explains treatments/activities to patient and family in a clear, open- ended, collaborative manner showing care and concern, using teach-to-learn to ensure patient understanding of explanations, and integrating patient learning and educational needs.
