JOB SUMMARY <br/><br/>As a custodian at the Mission Event Center, the primary responsibility is to ensure the <br/><br/>cleanliness and orderliness of the facility before, during, and after events. This role <br/><br/>involves a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and <br/><br/>dusting, to maintain a presentable and welcoming environment. The custodians are also <br/><br/>tasked with setting up and breaking down event spaces, arranging furniture, and <br/><br/>assisting in general preparations. <br/><br/>The position requires cleaning restrooms, replenishing supplies, and managing waste <br/><br/>disposal to maintain a high standard of hygiene. Additionally, custodians often work <br/><br/>closely with event organizers and staff to address specific cleaning needs or unexpected <br/><br/>situations during events. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS? High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.? Must have a ninth-grade level written and oral communication proficiency.? Must have six (6) months experience in a job as a janitor preferred or the abilityto learn the job through on-the-job training.? Must have knowledge of proper sequence of activities required to perform thejob.III. EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS? Applicant will be subject to a complete background investigation. Strip floor surfaces of wax or other protective coating and apply new wax orprotective coating.? Operate buffer, floor scrubber and other cleaning equipment within common,acceptable, and demonstrated safety procedures.? Replace burned out light bulbs and filters in air conditioning/heating system asdirected or scheduled.? Assess kitchen equipment periodically to ensure proper working conditions.? Keep outside walkways clean of debris and dirt. (May include driveway frompublic street to front of building).? Move, set up desks, tables, chairs, dance floor, and staging as directed.? FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p><p>Job Summary</p><p>Legendas Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Part-time Event Setup Staff for the Coca-Cola Music Hall. This position primary focus is event set-up and tear down and maintenance services as needed to support an outstanding visitor experience as well as adequately maintain the appearance of the facility.</p><p>Essential Duties
• To assist with training, development of all Setup staff, encouraging continuous personal development and ensure high levels of team morale and motivation.
• Delegate responsibilities to coworkers.
• Work directly with promoters and clients to attend setup changes.
• Serve as a guide for team members when performing setups.
• Complete administrative tasks as required.
• Generate daily report of tasks completed by all setup team.
• Assist subcontractors when needed.
• Carry out offsite venue communication for equipment.
• Assist Events Department with floor plan creation.
• Maintains cleanliness, preparedness and organization of all equipment and supplies in all storage areas.
• Set up and take down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, and other equipment for the successful execution of events.
• Operates equipment, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scrubbing machines, extractors, or other light power-driven equipment.
• Maintain and repair event equipment.
• Transport equipment to and from offsite storage, as is necessary.
• Perform general maintenance and janitorial duties as needed.
• Assist clients and facility visitors as needed.
• Attend and participate in planning, training, and required meetings.
• There is no guarantee of hours on a weekly basis.
• The working hours are scheduled based on the needs the facility. Part-Time On-Call scheduling.</p><p>Education and/or Experience
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience working in an event set-up or related field preferred.
• Professional appearance and attitude are essential.
• Have a working knowledge of hand tools.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work through the facility and at various events including sitting, standing walking, lifting, reaching, stooping, kneeling and/or crouching, pulling and pushing.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to work as scheduled.
• Ability to safely operate various mechanical equipment and tools.
