Effective fulfillment of this broad responsibility requires awareness, involvement and insight; functioning as an agent for change and a willingness to take risks and accept accountability for their outcomes within the context of a sound organizational structure and management processes. The Executive Director shall be knowledgeable of the physical, mental, and social needs of the elderly and be a professional in one of the following: Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Recreation Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Dietetics, or Gerontology.
