Monday – Friday: 6:00am to 4:30pmHOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: As an Installation Technician in our heavy bay, you will have a variety of responsibilities including MIG welding, fabrication, and some assembly work in the up-fit and installation of equipment on heavy-duty work truck builds.The role also involves diagnostic and repair work. You will need to read schematics, diagrams, blueprints, perform shop math, experience in MIG Welding, and ensure accurate installations and repairs. Reporting directly to the Manager, this position is based in Fulton, MO.RequirementsYOU HAVE:<ul><li>At least 1 year of welding experience or training.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required.</li><li>Experience in Production Welding or A certificate in Welding IS REQUIRED.</li><li>Able to read tape measure and blueprints.</li><li>Able to properly operate welding equipment.</li><li>Must be trained in applicable SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and work instructions.</li><li>Welding machine, cutting torch, brush, pad, buffer, grinder, overhead crane, ratchet straps, rubber hammer, tape measure.</li><li>Able to read, comprehend, and convey simple or somewhat complex instructions.</li><li>Able to write notes or simple correspondence.</li><li>Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out multiple-step instructions of moderate complexity.</li><li>Able to deal with standardized situations with a limited set of variables.</li></ul>Physical DemandsManufacturing position; spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands, and reaching.

Generally, requires clear vision at close distances.What You Will Experience in This PositionReferences blueprint and communicates with Lead person to determine job requirements.
Gathers necessary materials and performs layout per specifications.
Sets up welding machine and adjusts settings.
Operates welding gun to weld steel, aluminum, copper, etc., pieces together.
Visually examines welds for adherence to quality standards; rewelds defective joints and removes surplus slag, flux, and spatter using a brush, pad, buffer and/or grinder.
Operates cutting torch and manual plasma cutter as needed.
Applies weld stencil and notifies Lead person or Inspector when product is ready for inspection.

Will be required to set-up, operate, program, and trouble shoot Robot Systems (material handling, drilling, and welding) of other robotics pieces of equipment in the welding process to achieve acceptable levels in productivity, and quality.

A Day In The LifeOperator will be required to set-up, adjust machines, and equipment in order to produce an acceptable quality product. Will be required to set-up, operate, program, and trouble shoot Robot Systems (material handling, drilling, and welding) of other robotics pieces of equipment in the welding process to achieve acceptable levels in productivity, and quality. Will be required to operate more than one type of machine. Perform all required quality tests, certifications, and production checks as required by Quality Assurance or his/her supervisor.Operator will continually visually inspect product, record production as required, report/record scrap, and other various duties or rework as assigned. Operator will be required to make routine equipment adjustments to ensure the process is always efficient and welding to company standards. Will be required to manually repair, or hand weld some products that are below standard, due to tolerance variables during the Robotic operations. Must keep equipment and work area clean and orderly. Must be able to work as a team.What will help you thrive in this role?Must be qualified and successfully hold a Certified Welder's job or its equivalent, either in position or be certified by a technical institute. Operator will be required to pass the AWS Certification Test per Company Welding Policy. Must have the ability to read and interpret drawings and routing sheets. Must be able to satisfactorily use calipers, gages, and other measuring devices. Will be required to perform SPC procedures and tests, then interpret findings in order to make appropriate changes in the process.
