Specific description of duties: Review SID's and evaluate waveguide installation task needs to include verification shipchecks Experience in fabrication of waveguide components including machining skills Experience and certified to perform hot work on waveguide components Experience and skills required to pass Brazing, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and or FCAW weld procedures Experience installing waveguide systems interpreting and utilizing NAVSEA approved drawings or similar Perform and or oversee waveguide targeting of critically measured components Identifies problem areas and provides Condition Discrepancy Reports, Change Order Request Notices, and/or Liaison Action Request preparation Identifies, analyzes, reports on, and corrects causes of equipment failures Researches and selects pertinent equipment / material for waveguide installations Perform ship/site validations to determine accuracy in drawings and identify changes to the drawings and or interferences not identified in the drawings Performs engineering, quality, and safety audit / inspections Provides technical expertise and support on waveguide installations and production Conducts pre and post waveguide installation testing Provides project status reports Maintain requisite OQE within a QAWB Overtime, to include weekend work, and travel outside the local areas is routinely required but not guaranteed Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization's mission, objectives and goals.
