The Plumbing Supervisor plays a critical role in transitioning the Facilities Maintenance Department from a reactive maintenance approach to a proactive, preventive maintenance program designed to extend equipment life, reduce emergency repairs, minimize operational disruptions, and protect City assets. The work is typically performed in an office, library, stockroom, computer room, warehouse, or outdoors where the employee may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, machinery with moving parts, contagious or infectious disease, irritating chemicals, and cold or inclement weather.
