Monitors and coordinates facility projects, including grounds and facility needs. This position is responsible for performing semi-skilled and sub-journey level work and repairs on region facilities, routine facilities maintenance, and warehouse support for the South Puget Sound Region. JOB SUMMARY 

Maintains and repairs building and equipment, including resolving complex maintenance problems. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

+ Performs maintenance of building (s), including painting, electrical, and general repairs.

+ Resolves complex maintenance problems. Keeps related records. Completes repair projects and minor remodels.

+ Reports and resolves building problems.

+ May order maintenance supplies and equipment. Maintains equipment and tools.

+ May coordinate work of contractors, as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS- 

+ Five+ years or more of related experience in general maintenance work.

+ Substantial experience in carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, general building systems and related areas as necessary.

+ Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties.

+ Basic ability to read blueprints and schematics.

+ Ability to identify and resolve potential safety and security problems.

Katherine’s and Rita’s Houses are transitional housing programs for unhoused, adult women in recovery from substance use disorder. We offer structured, family style living, designed to assist women to return to the community as their best selves. Residents may stay up to two years where they develop a personal success plan tailored to their individual needs. Our team consists of a full-time Program Manager, Case Manager, two Life Skills Coordinators, and On-Call staff who focus on creating a safe environment that nurtures each resident’s potential. <h1 style="margin:0px">How YOU can make a difference:</h1>The House Manager-Life Skills Coordinator will manage that day-to-day operations of Katherine’s House and Rita’s House, transitional recovery facilities. The role involves facilitating life skills training, crisis intervention, and case management as well as overseeing facility maintenance, volunteer projects, and enforcing program guidelines to foster a safe environment. This role will be required to live on-site at Rita’s House and be “on-call” at both houses 5 days a week, staff member must work swing shift on Saturday/Sunday with the other three floating days dependent on programing schedule. As a condition of employment, the Live-in Life Skills Coordinator is required to:<ul><li>Reside full-time in the assigned recovery residence and use it as their primary place of residence during employment.</li><li>Actively participate in the program’s recovery framework, including maintaining personal recovery aligned with program expectations.</li><li>Model healthy recovery behaviors, demonstrating accountability, consistency, and adherence to recovery principles for program participants.</li><li>Comply with all house rules, policies, and community standards, including curfews, substance-free requirements, visitor guidelines, and participation expectations.</li><li>Engage in community responsibilities, including shared living duties, house meetings, and program-related activities.</li><li>Maintain good standing within the recovery community, including transparency with supervisors regarding recovery status and any issues that may impact job performance or resident safety.</li></ul>Physician and mental acuity demand:The requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<ul><li>Able to hear telephone rings, phone conversation and face-to-face conversation, doorbells and emergency alarms.</li><li>Able to speak clearly in person and on the telephone.</li><li>Able to hand write legibly.</li><li>Vision that enables person to read normal size print and handwritten notes; and distance and peripheral vision than enables person to monitor living spaces and identify concerns that require staff response. </li><li>Able to sit for sustained periods of time. </li><li>Able to walk the entire building and ascend and descend stairs quickly to move from one floor to another in order to respond to emergency situations.</li><li>Mobility/dexterity of hands/arms to enable keying into a unit or other locked area as well as using computers and other office equipment. </li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and to work independently and as a team member.</li><li>Ability to lift, move and/or carry up to 40 pounds.</li><li>Regularly able to perform duties as assigned.</li><li>Able to make independent decisions and apply sound judgment in performing job duties.</li></ul>We are seeking for someone with a:<ul><li>Three (3) years direct experience with homeless and/or at-risk populations.</li><li>Valid WA State Divers License and ability to qualify as a driver under the agency’s policies.</li><li>TB test or willingness to obtain.</li><li>Willingness and ability to make sound judgment without on-site supervision.</li><li>Ability to relate well to staff and residents from a diverse racial, ethnic and/or cultural background.</li><li>Commitment to developing and safekeeping a workplace, which values and supports a culturally diverse work environment.</li><li>Commitment to CCS Mission Statement.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>BA/BSW</li><li>Bilingual</li><li> Peer Certification</li></ul>  Note to Internal Candidates: HR reviews internal compensation and determines any increase based on their experience and also agency internal equity factors.
