Facility Maintenance Team Lead Sapp Bros is seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Team Member to join our team. You’ll assist with training team members, completing facility repairs, and ensuring our location remains safe, clean, and welcoming for every Guest. You may occasionally interact face-to-face with customers and are expected to uphold a high level of service and professionalism at all times. <h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3> • Assist with training and supporting janitorial team members • Ensure equipment inside and outside the facility is operating properly • Perform basic repairs including plumbing, HVAC, and general facility maintenance • Assist with painting, drywall, snow removal, landscaping, and special projects as needed • Clean and maintain restrooms, showers, drivers’ lounge, laundry room, and office areas • Maintain Diesel and Gas Islands, including wiping dispensers and restocking supplies • Follow proper safety procedures, including emergency shut-off protocols • Respond to and clean diesel spills according to company procedures • Perform daily and weekly compactor maintenance • Maintain parking lots and sidewalks by removing trash, pulling weeds, and monitoring for abandoned vehicles • Operate power cleaning equipment as needed • Uphold all safety policies and procedures <h3>What Makes You a Great Fit:</h3> The ideal candidate will have: • A minimum of 18 years of age • Previous cleaning or maintenance experience • Knowledge of facilities repair and maintenance including plumbing, HVAC, and construction (preferred) • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing • A professional appearance and positive attitude • Ability to lift 20–50 lbs. occasionally and meet the physical demands of the role • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions • Commitment to safety and following established guidelines • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check <h3>Why You’ll Love Working at Sapp Bros.:</h3> At Sapp Bros., you're not just an employee — you’re part of the family. The Athletic/Facility Attendant sets up, assists in supervising, and closes all youth and adult athletic programs. Individuals supervised includes participants, spectators, and staff involved in events that occur in both indoor and outdoor facilities. Sports include but are not limited to baseball, basketball, flag football, softball, t-ball, volleyball, kickball, ultimate, futsal, soccer and pickleball. This position will work closely with an Attendant II, Recreation/Team Leader, or Full-Time staff.Job Duties<ul><li>Assists Athletics/Facility Team Lead</li><li>Establishes and maintains cooperative professional working relationships with others, individually and in a team environment.</li><li>Opens and prepares facility for use prior to arrival of participants, spectators, and staff.</li><li>Maintains the appearance of each facility as needed.</li><li>Welcomes customers, staff, players, coaches, and spectators as they arrive at the facility/location, and ensure they are properly registered prior to use.</li><li>Monitors staff, players, coaches, spectators, or participants in all aspects of the game, program, and/or facility.</li><li>Ensures rules, policies and procedures are being observed and followed.</li><li>Carries out all procedures exactly as described by the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) in times of emergency or crisis. EAP training will be provided by MPRD.</li><li>May answer the phone in a cheerful, polite manner. Directs phone calls to the proper people.</li><li>Follows procedures for closing and securing the designated facility at the end of each shift.</li><li>Completes all assigned facility maintenance and cleaning duties as directed.</li><li>Maintains a professional appearance according to department policies, including proper attire and footwear.</li><li>May supervise the fitness area and all members during operational hours.</li><li>May work in an after-school program setting for middle schoolers that includes monitoring participants, enforcing rules, and participating in activities.</li><li>May be tasked with keeping score for some Athletic Programs</li><li>Provides excellent customer service and possesses a service philosophy which reflects the mission for the Parks and Recreation Department.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>RequirementsRequired Education and Experience<ul><li>Must be 16 years of age or older.</li></ul>Preferred Education and Experience<ul><li>Knowledge of and experience of recreation and fitness, with adult/youth sports, game rules, and regulations.</li></ul>Physical Demands / Work Environment
