Located in our Poplar Bluff, MO location, you will be the Maintenance Manager.Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager directs the activities of Maintenance, Automation, and Facilities teams. Incumbent is responsible for all Plant and Departmental goals, including reliability, cost reduction, waste reduction, safety, quality improvements, downtime reduction, as well as ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. In addition, this position will monitor progress towards goals and make certain that capital projects and other resources are being utilized to provide maximum benefits to the facility. Incumbent works collectively with Plant Leadership to actualize Gates vision and ensure objectives are met.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Team Management: Manage day-to-day activities of Maintenance department and outside contractors. Will set goals, priorities, monitor progress, and evaluate performance of staff to ensure the maximum benefit of the resources expended. Creates an empowered environment, ensuring that the Maintenance organization and its people understand the goals and objective of the business and that they have the resources and support to accomplish them. Establishes an environment that ensures and supports open and healthy communications.</li><li>Process & Program Standardization: Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance processes are completely documented (including Capital start up plans, SOPs, DOPs, and run documents), and implement any changes to these processes. Accountable for the development and implementation of effective preventive maintenance programs, along with the establishment of a proficient MRO and inventory</li><li>Budget Management: Creates operating budgets and capital budgets with other leadership teams members. Manage department expense budgets with appropriate accounting information and support. Participates in the business planning and budgeting process. Develops short and long-term cost containment/reduction strategies. Manages operating budget for Facilities and maintenance.</li><li>Prepares and coordinates maintenance schedules to achieve monthly PM and Calibration compliance on time as well as complete needed workload list and continuous improvement activities.</li><li>Oversees diagnostic, monitoring, trouble shooting, root cause, repair and preventive maintenance of companys facilities, manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, boiler and air compressors.</li><li>Implement and conduct routine predictive testing to increase machine reliability including vibration analysis, air leak detection, thermo inspection etc.</li><li>Supervises maintenance facilitators on multiple shifts.</li><li>Uses plant computerized maintenance management system to schedule PM, assign personnel, order parts, and maintain appropriate level of critical spare parts inventory.</li><li>Administers and maintains the Gates TPM program</li><li>Responsibilities include repair cost monitoring, and departmental labor, parts, outside services, and supplies budgeting and cost reduction in all areas</li><li>Responsible for ensuring compliance with, and maintaining comprehensive records regarding, all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements.</li><li>Contracting with and overseeing the activities of various contractors for the fulfillment of plant/facilities maintenance responsibilities reviewing and monitoring cost and quality of work.</li><li>Develops and implements new and Lean methods, procedures, and systems to improve OEE on machinery.</li><li>Tracks, monitors and improves top downtime contributors to drive success in the organization.</li><li>Coordinate team on projects to prioritize Safety, Quality and Delivery solutions for Operations teams.</li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities<ul><li>3+ direct reports</li><li>Manages a generally homogeneous team; adapts plans and sets priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges</li><li>Has performance management and people development responsibility for managers or associates</li><li>Provides subject matter guidance to associates, colleagues and/or customers</li></ul>About You<ul><li>BS/BA or equivalent (8-10 years of experience)</li><li>Prefer BA/BS degree in engineering or a related field</li><li>A minimum of 5 years of experience in management or supervision of maintenance function in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong and effective management and supervisory skills are required, including planning, organizing, communicating, influencing, gathering and using information, and motivating to achieve results.</li><li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.</li></ul>PAY & BENEFITS<ul><li>Full-Time</li><li>Bonus Eligible</li><li>Relocation is not provided</li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire</li><li>Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. Job DescriptionEssential Functions:· Manages, coordinates, and monitors aspects of construction of capital maintenance projects. This includes pipeline, compressor/pump stations, dehydration facilities, and measurement facilities.· Plans and coordinates construction activity, material delivery, and work involving construction crews and inspectors.· Identify, train, and manage qualified inspectors for construction projects.· Enforces strict adherence to all ETP Engineering Standards and SOPs.· Conducts kick-off and post-construction meetings with contractors for evaluation of performance and tracking of success.· Communicates and coordinates effectively with contractors and clients to develop, promote, and maintain positive relationships.· Works closely with the Project Engineering team to effectively manage changes to scope and/or design of projects during construction. Provides timely feedback to contractors during change process to ensure efficient production.· Works closely with the Project Engineering team in development of project scope, bid exhibits prior to bid meetings, and coordinate construction activities.· Manages multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on safety, cost control, project milestones, and in-service dates.· Maintains relationships with Operations personnel in order to evaluate installed facilities and incorporate improvements into future facilities.· Ensure project objectives are met during the construction phase including safety, environmental, security, quality, schedule, cost controls and community relations.Required Skills· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external personnel.· Detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.· Strong computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office, and a high level of comfort with changing technologies.· Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking skills.· Work in a fast paced environment and display a sense of urgency and strong customer service.· Identify work priorities and lead team by example.· Displays good judgment, maintains confidentiality, as needed, and makes sound decisions.· Must have strong analytical skills and be able to apply sound judgement to abnormal situations.Requirements· High school diploma required.· 8+ years industry experience.
