Assists in maintaining boilerMaintains & repairs minor electrical malfunctions and installs new equipmentActs as a carpenter in the alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildingsMaintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools carefully and as instructedCompletes work orders for painting and building repairs, indicating materials used and time involvedAssists in maintaining and operates water pumping, storage, and distribution systemsAssists in maintaining wastewater pumping and collection systems, and water and sewer maintenance equipmentDoes a walk through of campus buildings and inspects for damage and/or safety hazardsReplaces bulbs and performs touch up paintingBe on call, work shifts, weekends and holidays as needed. Must have valid state motor vehicle drivers license WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
