What you will do: <ul><li>Load, unload, and move materials from storage to staging sites and/or designated areas per each sales ticket.</li><li>Use work orders and verbal instructions to assemble materials and containers which need to be picked, moved, or staged.</li><li>Collect and pick all materials included customer orders using the pick ticket.</li><li>Package merchandise for shipment to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce damage during the shipping process.</li><li>Properly wrap, label, and mark material for easy identification and loading.</li><li>Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging of materials, ensuring proper piece count for drivers and customers.</li><li>Load materials onto vehicles and properly secure cargo.</li><li>Unload incoming vehicles, prepare necessary receiving documents, and receive the materials.</li><li>Document shipments and changes in inventory using Eclipse.</li><li>Clean work areas, machines, and equipment on a routine basis.</li><li>Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area. Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.</li><li>Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records; examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with purchasing.</li><li>Perform regular counting of inventory, including running off wire and inspecting items for damage.</li><li>Communicate when supply inventory levels are low.</li><li>Other duties, as assigned.</li></ul> What you will bring: <ul><li>Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.</li><li>High School diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D), or 2-4 years of related warehouse experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Data-entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.</li><li>Knowledge of safety practices, and wears PPE as assigned.</li><li>Ability to operate hand tools including wire cutting equipment.</li><li>Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Must be Forklift Operation Certified after hire.</li><li>Knowledge of cargo securement techniques, chains, binders, straps, ropes, knots, plastic wrap, and cargo dunnage used.</li><li>Strong mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, including fractions and decimals.</li><li>Must be able to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong communication skills. Able to present information to management, customers, vendors, employees, and the public.</li><li>Problem-solving skills including collecting and presenting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions to solve practical problems where only limited information and standardization exists.</li></ul> Physical Requirements and Work Environment: <ul><li>The typical environment for this position is in a warehouse.</li><li>Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.</li><li> Outdoor work exposed to elements and non-conditioned warehouse spaces.</li><li>Able to bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted.</li><li>Stand and walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift (up to 100% of the time).</li><li>Climb ladders safely, work in dusty and dirty conditions; handle and store hazardous materials; clean and maintain a safe working environment. </li></ul> Location: San Leandro, CA Work hours: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM Salary Range: <ul><li>This is a non-exempt position and pays between $22.00 - $25.00 per hour.This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California.
