Qualifications Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, business, finance, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceFive or more years of progressive claims experience, preferably within Specialty, commercial, excess and surplus lines (E&S), MGA, carrier, or program insurance environmentsExperience managing complex commercial or specialty claimsKnowledge of claims investigation, coverage analysis, reserving, litigation management, and claim resolutionExperience working with carriers, MGAs, third party administrators (TPAs), brokers, defense counsel, and other claims stakeholdersKnowledge of insurance policy language and coverage principlesAbility to analyze claims data and identify trends and emerging exposuresSkill in communications, negotiations, analytical thinking, and decision-makingAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentExperience in one or more specialty lines, such as habitational coverages, commercial property, professional liability, cyber, management liability, errors and omissions (E&O), directors and officers (D&O), or other niche insurance productsExperience with MGA or delegated-authority insurance programsExperience managing TPAs and external claims vendorsExperience overseeing complex or litigated claimsExperience with claims audits and carrier reportingKnowledge of reinsurance and its impact on claims managementProfessional designation such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), associate in risk management (ARM), associate in commercial underwriting (AIC), or similar insurance credentialExperience with claims management systems, business intelligence tools, and claims analyticsProficiency with Microsoft Office and function specific software applications Lets talk benefits!
