Supporting multiple entities, largely domestic with some international presence, this position blends strategic partnership with senior leadership and hands-on involvement in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and operational decision support with an emphasis on agricultural production cycles, and perishability-driven cost dynamics.</p><p>This role reports to the CFO and is an individual contributor at the manager level, requiring strong technical accounting and finance expertise, the ability to independently manage complex matters, and confidence engaging with executive leadership.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><h3>Financial Reporting, Consolidation & Analysis</h3><ul><li>Lead consolidation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financials across all entities</li><li>Develop detailed variance analysis with clear explanations prior to leadership and board reporting </li><li>Ensure timely, accurate, and decision-ready financial reporting, aligned with US GAAP</li><li>Partner with Accounting to support a smooth close process, analytical review, and issue resolution Ensure no audit points, clean support, and strong financial discipline across entities</li><li>Ensure robust crop-cost reporting, pack out performance analysis, and alignment between farm, packhouse, and commercial financials</li></ul><h3>Forecasting, Budgeting & Cash Flow Management</h3><ul><li> Prepare and maintain short- and long-range financial plans, including full P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow projections</li><li>Build and enhance cash flow forecast models, incorporating seasonality, working capital, crop timing, and capital investments</li><li>Lead annual budget and rolling forecast processes; partner with operations and leadership on assumptions</li><li>Develop scenario and sensitivity analysis to support proactive decision-making in a volatile agricultural environment</li></ul><h3>KPIs & Performance Management</h3><ul><li>Design, standardize, and implement financial and operational KPIs, aligned with the Strategic and Annual Operating Plans</li><li>Develop and track key financial metrics to ensure a healthy balance sheet, including liquidity, leverage, working capital efficiency, and covenant-related measures</li><li>Monitor balance sheet trends across entities, highlighting risks and opportunities</li><li>Develop dashboards, flash reports, and management reporting packages to monitor performance</li><li>Identify opportunities to apply AI-driven insights to financial modeling, KPI tracking, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis to support faster, more informed decision-making</li><li>Act as a finance partner to operational leaders to drive accountability and performance improvement</li></ul><h3>Chart of Accounts & Accounting Partnership</h3><ul><li>Collaborate closely with the Director of Accounting to standardize and maintain the global chart of accounts</li><li>Ensure consistency across entities to enable meaningful consolidation, comparability, and scalability</li><li>Support accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance with US GAAP</li><li>Assist with audit preparation, quarterly reviews, and external reporting as required</li></ul><h3>Capital Projects & Strategic Analysis</h3><ul><li> Analyze and support capital projects including farms, packhouses, equipment, and infrastructure investments</li><li>Prepare financial models, ROI analysis, and post-investment tracking</li><li>Evaluate grower agreements, grower financing, joint ventures, and strategic business deals</li><li>Provide financial insight and recommendations to support disciplined capital allocation</li><li>Analyze and evaluate variety performance</li></ul><h3>Executive & Board Support</h3><ul><li>Prepare financial presentations and materials for monthly, quarterly, and board meetings</li><li>Provide ongoing analysis and reporting on balance sheet health, liquidity, and capital structure to support executive and Board-level decision-making</li><li>Translate complex financial data into clear, concise insights for senior leadership</li><li>Support ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives as requested by the executive team</li></ul><h3>Business Partnership & Operations Support</h3><ul><li> Leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics tools to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial processes, reporting, forecasting, and analysis across all entities</li><li>Act as a key finance resource to operations, supply chain, commercial teams, etc</li><li>Support cost accounting, margin analysis, pricing analysis, and operational efficiency initiatives</li><li>Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support operations and projects</li><li>Support continuous improvement of financial processes, models, and reporting tools</li><li>Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed, including initiatives driven by executive leadership, operations, or strategic priorities</li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)</li><li>7–10+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally within fresh produce agriculture (berries strongly preferred)</li><li>Proven experience supporting multi-entity, multi-operation businesses</li><li>Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and cash flow analysis </li><li>Working knowledge of grower marketing and grower financing arrangements common in agriculture, including their financial, cash flow, and balance sheet implications</li><li>Demonstrated ability to apply AI, automation, or advanced analytical tools </li><li>Ability to analyze complex financial data and translate insights into business decisions</li><li>Strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and cash flow analysis </li><li>Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP</li></ul><h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></h3><ul><li>Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience required (Famous preferred)</li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish)</li></ul><h3><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></h3><p>Job requires ability to sit for long periods of time to perform duties. Ideal candidate is a team player that excels equally in technical accounting, communication and leadership. Participate in the monthly financial close process by preparing journal entries, reconciling account balances and reviewing team member's work.</p><p>Key role in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting on a resort and department level basis.
Work with external auditors to ensure a successful and timely completion of interim and annual audit.
Maintain, develop and enforce controls to ensure consistent and reliable financial reporting.
Complete various special projects as needed ranging from, department improvement, system/process updates, financial analysis, GAAP changes and/or internal policy changes.
Ensure that procedures are in place to safeguard company assets and assure that records are accurately maintained.
Identify and recommend improvements in existing systems and procedures in order to reduce costs, paperwork and work load without compromising quality or accuracy.
Assist with involvement in events like the US Open, AT&T Pro-Am, Pebble Beach Food & Wine and Concours d'Elegance.</p><p>Required Skills:</p><ul><li>Preferably a CPA, with 3-5 years of public company experience.</li><li>Bachelor's degree (required) with a major in Accounting or Finance.</li><li>Excellent technical accounting skills with detailed understanding of current GAAP standards.</li><li>Experience working with accounting and financial reporting systems, and designing and implementing systems and procedures.</li></ul><p>Desired Skills:</p><ul><li>Hotel/resort experience preferred.</li><li>Practical operational accounting knowledge.</li><li>Excellent writing, communication and computer skills.</li><li>Ability to multi-task and effectively meet deadlines.</li><li>Ability to be a team player and work well with other departments.</li></ul><p>Why work for Pebble Beach Company:</p><p>Competitive Pay: Salary: $130,000 - $150,000/year plus bonus.</p><p>Enjoy world-class health and wellness benefits.
