p>Departmental service includes consulting, assisting and supporting the academic advising center; assisting the department head with the requisition of materials, supplies, textbooks and equipment necessary for effective classroom instruction; assisting with registration procedures; attending departmental meetings and serving on appropriate departmental committees when assigned or elected; participating in on-site and off-site promotional/recruiting activities; participating in program and curriculum development and coordination; contributing to the program review; working with professionals in the faculty members field of study and with the departments program advisory committee; contributing to the annual, interim/midcycle, and five-year comprehensive program review report for various phases of the assessment process and to reaccreditation self-studies. Institutional service includes attending all institutional meetings called by the dean, the vice president for academic affairs or the president, including one half-day and one full-day in-service sessions per year; serving on institutional committees when assigned or elected; participating in peer evaluation of design skills; attending graduation ceremonies; and participating in other institutional service activities assigned by the Colleges Executive Leadership team.
