Required Qualifications: General OR and trauma experience, Level I trauma experience, prior Bariatric case experience (laparoscopic-assisted), general surgery cases (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, Whipple), neurology (cervical fusion, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion), orthopedic (arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release, fracture reductions), plastic surgery (free flap - microvascular), transplant (organ donation), urology (cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy), trauma cases (amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, MVA injuries), emergency management (code response, fire safety, latex allergy, malignant hyperthermia), equipment/instrumentation (electrosurgical units, fiber optic cords, Hana tables), and professional knowledge (blood administration, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling, urinary catheterization). This position involves providing high-quality perioperative care within a Level I trauma center, supporting a busy surgical unit with a focus on general, trauma, and specialized cases.
