The candidate will participate in the development and review of systems engineering products, organize meetings, provide subject matter expertise support to customers and software engineering teams, and interface with government customers and contractor teams to ensure overall team success on the project.

Overview:
The Tactical Software and Autonomy Solutions (TSAS) team at i3 supports USSOCOM Headquarters in Tampa, FL in developing cutting-edge autonomy software architectures to distribute autonomous control across a diverse assortment of uncrewed air, ground, surface, and subsurface platforms. The team is seeking a Software Systems Engineer with 5+ years of professional experience to assist in development and review of software and systems engineering artifacts during the execution of cutting-edge UxS system development projects at i3 in support of various DoD customers.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>The candidate will work onsite with a Government Program Management team to organize and facilitate communications across multiple interconnected systems engineering and software teams executing work toward several DoD customer requirements. </li><li>The candidate will participate in the development and review of systems engineering products, organize meetings, provide subject matter expertise support to customers and software engineering teams, and interface with government customers and contractor teams to ensure overall team success on the project.</li><li>Candidate will engage with a wide variety of engineers and customers to develop collaborative plans and schedules and execute systems design in support of collaboration among a variety of UxS platforms.</li><li>Candidate will write and conduct reviews of comprehensive task planning documentation for upcoming feature development.</li><li>Candidate will document due outs discussed during meetings and provide reminders to the teams to ensure completion of tasks.</li><li>Candidate will help interface between customers, vendor partners, and teams executing tasks.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
Education, Experience and Required skills:<ul><li>Have a Bachelor of Science degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred).</li><li>Five or more years of related experience is required.</li><li>Candidate must be located in, or willing to relocate to the Tampa, FL area.</li><li>Candidate must be a team player and be creative, adaptive, and excited to learn.</li><li>Must have experience working on software engineering teams.</li><li>Candidate must have experience establishing good configuration management and product lifecycle practices.</li><li>Candidate must have experience with Cameo and MBSE modeling practices</li><li>Candidate must have experience using modeling tools to model complex systems using SysML, and/or UAF.</li><li>Candidate must have experience developing software products on DoD related efforts.</li><li>Position Location: Onsite in Tampa, FL</li><li>CONUS Travel required: Up to 25%</li><li>U.S. Citizenship is Required</li><li>An Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance and the ability to maintain a Clearance is required.</li></ul>Preferred Experience/Skills:<ul><li>Experience working in a DoD environment.</li><li>Experience interfacing with customers.</li><li>Experience with requirements development and management.</li><li>Experience with software development.</li><li>Familiarity with Digital Engineering Environments (DEE) for development, testing and deployment of systems.</li><li>Familiarity with Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools and concepts.</li><li>INCOSE SEP or OCSMP Certification</li><li>Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.</li><li>Familiarity with SAFe Agile processes.</li><li>Experience with Linux is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with virtualization technologies like docker, qemu, and Kubernetes.</li><li>Experience with single board computers (Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, etc.).</li><li>Experience with remote controlled boats, vehicles, or planes is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with UxS command and control message formats (ex. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.</li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.</li><li>Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.</li></ul>
