Working knowledge of and ability to make practical application of Department safety policies and procedures, and ability to properly operate a variety of equipment, machines, and tools, including hammer, screw drivers, wrenches, drills, power saws, drill press, air compressor, grinder, cutting torch, welding equipment, tap/die sets, brooms, backhoe, and front-end loaders. Incumbents duties involve physical exertion, driving, sitting for long periods, far vision, hearing sounds/communication, standing/walking for long periods, lifting/carrying objects weighing over 50 pounds, pushing/pulling objects, depth perception, crouching/kneeling, reaching, bending, and handling/grasping objects.
