 Frontier Construction is looking for a new carpenter to join our team. We handle primarily exterior remodels and additions, including things like exterior porches and decks, cabanas, and other additions like pool houses and garages. We work primarily for high end clients so we get to build some beautiful structures with lots of detail and expensive finishes. If you enjoy being challenged, taking your time to get details just right, and finishing a project that you can be proud of, this is the job for you. We are primarily a frame to finish carpentry company, not a production framing crew. Enjoy your craft, don't get worn down doing the same thing day in and day out.   Ideal candidate would have several years of experience as a carpenter, capable of everything from foundation layout and framing to cabinetry install and finish trim. Attitude and ability to learn are everything, we strive to always learn from the current project and do the next one better.  Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities  <ul><li>Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications</li><li>Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project</li><li>Build window frames, doors, staircases, frame buildings, and other structures by using raw materials or pre-constructed items</li><li>Install hardwood floors, siding, cabinets, drywall, tile, and insulation</li><li>Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed</li><li>Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines</li></ul>Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications  <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Completion of a carpentry program at a vocational school or carpentry apprenticeship preferred</li><li>2+ years of professional carpentry experience a plus</li><li>Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction</li><li>Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools</li><li>Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings</li><li>Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity</li></ul>
