<p>Remote (U.S. only) </p><p>Hourly rate dependent on experience</p><p>Media Cause is hiring a front-end developer on a freelance basis (~5–10 hrs/week), with the goal of growing this into a full-time role.</p><p>We're a digital marketing agency that focuses exclusively on nonprofit clients. This means that <strong>your work is truly meaningful</strong> and has the <em>potential</em> to change real lives and <em>potentially</em> even save them.</p><p/><h2>About the role</h2><p>Most of your early work will involve customizing and building WordPress themes using PHP, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript. We have offices in Washington DC, Atlanta, and San Francisco, with many team members working remotely.</p><h2>What we're looking for</h2><p>We are seeking a front-end developer with a solid foundational skillset and a <strong>strong desire to grow</strong>.</p><p><strong>You'll do well if you have:</strong></p><ul><li>Good understanding of HTML & CSS</li><li>Experience with or interest in learning Sass</li><li>Basic knowledge of PHP, especially in WordPress</li><li>Familiarity with JavaScript fundamentals</li><li>Some experience using Git</li><li>Prior hands-on WordPress work (even personal or practice projects)</li><li>Basic understanding of Advanced Custom Fields (WordPress plugin)</li><li>Interest in learning how APIs and MarTech stacks work</li></ul><p/><h2>How to apply</h2><p>Please submit your professional resume, portfolio, and a link to your GitHub, GitLab, or other git repository account.
