Assists physician with procedures including but not limited to laceration repair (any complexity), any procedure requiring moderate sedation, Incision and Drainage (I &D), cardiac arrest, intubation, chest tube insertion, foreign body removal (any part of the body), live birth or spontaneous aborted fetus and tissue, records time of death and birth, assists Administration in reporting death in the emergency room as needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to infectious and communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, equipment with risk of electronical shock, medicinal preparations and other conditions common in a hospital setting or conditions that have the potential of being physically, emotionally, and/or psychologically harmful.
