Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, vascular ultrasounds, angiograms) to aid in diagnosing conditions like heart failure, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, and peripheral arterial disease. First-assist in the operating room or catheterization lab during surgical procedures (e.g., CABG, valve repairs, vascular bypass) and/or perform specific diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (e.g., wound care, suture removal, arterial line placement, cardioversion).
