Role description: Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, the following: Quantitative/qualitative interpretation hydrogeologic systems, Conceptual site model (CSM) development, Remedial system conceptual design, Analytical calculations and water resource evaluations, Remedial system performance evaluation, Remediation/supply well design, Aquifer test design and analysis, Geostatistical analysis and modeling of hydrogeologic data, Application of advance, Analytical/numerical groundwater flow and transport modeling to support environmental remediation and water resource projects, Advanced/state-of-the science, Visualization of CSM components and flow/transport modeling results, Preparation of technical reports and presentations, Design, oversight, and analysis of subsurface characterization and remediation activities, Preparation of planning documents, Installation of soil borings, Monitoring/remediation well installation, Collection of soil and water samples (e.g., vertical aquifer profiling), Geophysical investigations, Tracer tests and Interpretation and documentation of investigation results (i.e., interpretation of geologic depositional environments and hydrogeologic conditions). The position requires a strong background in quantitative hydrogeology (i.e., mathematical interpretation hydrogeologic systems) to assist with a variety of groundwater remediation and water resources projects throughout the US and abroad.
