You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas.Benefits to Working for TWC<ul><li>Competitive starting salary: $51,158 - $71,440 per month.</li><li>Salary and position level will be based on experience and demonstrated skills.</li><li>This is a career ladder position, which means each level is required to meet the established career ladder requirements in order to be promoted to the next level.</li></ul>Job ResponsibilitiesThe BRC - Sr BRC is selected by and reports to the Deputy Regional Director. Performs advanced to highly advanced senior-level consultative services and technical assistance work. Work involves planning, developing, implementing major agency programs, and providing consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public. May train, lead, and/or prioritize the workload of others. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.General Duties<ul><li>Responsible for leading a regional Outreach Service and Coordination OSC team and serving as a consultant to businesses to promote and develop business relationships that result in the employment of people with disabilities.</li><li>Plans, develops, and implements major employment programs and providing consultative and technical assistance to program staff, units of state and local government, community organizations, and employers.</li><li>Provides employment-related service to businesses to establish potential employment opportunities for customers with disabilities.</li><li>Provides training and guidance to agency staff, state and federal governmental agencies, and community organizations related to business needs and customer job readiness.</li><li>Works in collaboration with agency staff to meet business relations objectives.</li><li>Performs related duties as assigned.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>BRC Program Specialist V: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university plus two years of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency.</li><li>Sr BRC Program Specialist VI: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university plus two years and six months of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency.</li><li>One year of full-time experience may be substituted for each year 30 semester hours of education.</li><li>Copy of official transcripts, certifications, and/or credentials will be requested at the time of interview if applicable.</li></ul>All Levels<ul><li>Experience as a BRC cited above must be in accordance with the career ladder requirements of the agency.</li><li>Related work experience is defined as consultative services, technical assistance to program staff, and general knowledge of disabilities.</li><li>Duties may include up to 75 travel within the State of Texas and the ability to lift/carry 10 pounds.</li></ul>VeteransUse your military skills to qualify for this position or other jobs.
