We are seeking friendly, professional, and dependable individuals who enjoy helping the public in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Answer voter questions regarding the general election, including voting procedures, polling locations, and general voting information</li><li>Maintain a friendly, positive, and helpful attitude while interacting with voters</li><li>Assist voters with inquiries related to the voting system and election process</li><li>Support and complete tasks assigned by LBE management or Chief Judge(s)</li><li>Monitor polling place areas to help maintain a secure environment and report any issues to Chief Judges and/or the Local Board of Elections (LBE)</li></ul>Schedule<ul><li>Part-time or full-time opportunities available based on SBE and LBE requirements</li><li>No overtime</li><li>Early Voting shifts: up to 8 hours per day</li><li>Election Day shifts: up to 15 hours</li></ul>Project Duration<ul><li>Estimated assignment length: 8 working days plus 1 training day</li><li>Mandatory training will take place on June 9th</li><li>Work dates are scheduled from June 11th through June 18th</li><li>Work locations may include assigned early voting centers, election day precincts, and training locations</li><li>Candidates may be asked to support multiple LBEs based on staffing needs and availability</li><li>Travel within the State of Maryland may be required</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Strong communication and customer service skills</li><li>Professional and dependable</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with election staff and the public</li></ul>
