Safeguard municipal buildings, equipment, property and personnel including patrolling and circulating throughout municipal buildings and grounds and checking areas for fire, prowlers, unsecured locks and lighting; note irregularities; respond appropriately. Knowledge of self-defense tactics; identify potential hazards and take preventive action; maintain physical conditions; pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations; use and properly care for firearms, meet requirements to use firearms established by the Jackson Police Department.
