This role works hands-on in daily operations (rounding on units, auditing tray accuracy, resolving service issues in real time) and carries broader programmatic ownership such as departmental budget and staffing plans, policy and procedure manuals, hiring and performance management, and cross-functional partnership with Clinical Nutrition, Culinary, and hospital leadership. Maintains effective communication across a diverse, multi-shift workforce and functions as liaison between patient care units and departmental sub-units (e.g., diet office, tray line, warehouse).
