Public Safety Officers must possess exceptional communication and de-escalation skills and be prepared to safely intervene and control violent or combative behavior when necessary, utilizing approved training, defensive tactics, and the least restrictive means appropriate to the situation. Responsibilities include emergency response, de-escalation of disruptive situations, workplace violence prevention, access control, investigations, patrol functions, emergency preparedness, and customer service.
