ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Key functions include but are not limited to obtaining complete medical history and performing a physical examination, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studies, formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan, prescribing and/or dispensing medication, counseling patients and families, as well as other patient care duties. Under the counter-signature of the attending physician, is responsible for transcribing pre-operative and post-operative orders, including prescription medication, fluid orders, diets, activity levels, and other procedures, as authorized by applicable law and department protocol.
