Responsibilities:The Naval Architect (Hull, Hydrodynamics, Weights, Stability) will support the PMS 300/325 Ship Design Management team, providing SME expertise for technical and engineering efforts on the assigned Hull (e.g T-AGOS, T-AO, T-ATS, NGLS, T-ARC, Service Craft).Provide engineering/technical support for concept studies; feasibility studies; preliminary design activities; contract design activities; detail design and construction activities; independent design reviews; In-service ship design and engineering activities; shipboard installation support; and special studies related to ships/boats/craft, ship systems, and/or shipboard equipment. Minimum Skill Sets of Qualified Candidates:Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering OR Ocean Engineering and no less than seven (7) years of shipbuilding/design experience in development of work packages, in-service modifications, detail design drawings and analysis, implementation of ABS and military specifications and requirements, 3D modeling, and/or ship system integration.
