In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Legal Counsel duties: Provides legal advice/counsel in business-related areas, researches, analyzes, and interprets proposed and existing laws, statutes, and regulations, identifies, monitors and addresses issues of legal risk, structures, drafts, negotiates and/or approves legal contracts, letters of agreement, policies and other documents, represents/advocates for an organization in litigation, arbitration, mediation or other disputes with courts, government agencies, or other legal authorities. This position will provide counsel on general healthcare issues, privacy and regulatory matters, and will review, draft and negotiate a wide array of contracts, with a focus on contracts for general goods and services, consulting services, shared and managed services, physician employment agreements, business associate agreements, grants funding, collaboration agreements, data use agreements, and clinical trials, material transfers and research agreements.
