Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; nursing license required; one year of cardiology experience; ability to interpret cardiac rhythms; comfortable titrating multiple medications including Argatroban, Digoxin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Esmolol, Lasix, Insulin, Labetalol, Lidocaine, Milrinone, Nicardipine, Nitroglycerine, Sotalol, Tirofiban; must be comfortable with post-procedural cardiac care and telemetry monitoring. Support within the Department: CNAs assist with vital checks, blood glucose, safety rounds, and ADLs; receptionists/huc support may be provided; phlebotomy via peripheral blood draw; RT, hospitalist, and intensivist available 24/7; nurses responsible for monitoring and verifying telemetry strips.
