Leads virtual care services by: leveraging relevant technology for video monitoring and assessing complex patient data, anticipating and escalating issues requiring immediate attention; driving consultations with Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurses (RNs), physicians, and other members of the health care team (e.g., pharmacy, respiratory therapy), influencing patient care decisions; and applying highly advanced knowledge to provide real time, clinical decision guidance for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients. Leads collaboration by: leading communications with other health care professionals to plan and implement complex interventions, troubleshooting and ensuring patient needs are addressed; performing proactive surveillance to detect care gaps, collaborating with teams (e.g., local ICU) to mitigate them; guiding others to prioritize and/or triage patient calls for physicians, adjusting physician workloads when necessary; and serving as a key resource for education, assessment, and treatment of critical care patients and their families, ensuring seamless care delivery.
