To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level: Specialized Experience Requirement: This position requires at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sector) serving as a team lead in the design, repair, testing, or modification of electrical equipment or systems typical of a generation facility with demonstrated proficiency in working with at least four of the following aspects: control circuits, relay and protection circuits, electrical generation and motor equipment, program logic controllers and computerized control equipment, communication equipment, meters, sensors, governors, or auxiliary equipment. To qualify for this position at the GS-11 grade level: Specialized Experience Requirement: This position requires at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sector) in the 1) design, repair, testing or modification of electrical equipment or systems typical of a generation facility, 2) reviewing and evaluating test results of electrical systems or equipment to determine compliance with design/specifications; 3) reviewing technical electrical engineering project design documents and submittals for discrepancies, 4) reviewing electrical design data and performing cost estimating and sizing calculations.
