Key Responsibilities Operate hot press machinery to form metal tank heads according to specifications Monitor temperature, pressure, and cycle times to ensure proper forming Load and unload materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other equipment Inspect finished products for defects, thickness, and dimensional accuracy Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production schedules Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance Maintain accurate production and quality records Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE Communicate with supervisors and team members to resolve production issues Assist with setup and changeover of dies and tooling as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous manufacturing or heavy industrial experience preferred Experience with hot press, forging, or metal forming equipment is a plus Ability to read measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.) Basic math and problem-solving skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Ability to work in high-temperature environments Must be comfortable working around heavy machinery and industrial equipment Work Environment Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, noise, and moving equipment Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots HP Position Summary The Hot Press Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring hot press equipment used in the forming of metal tank heads.
