The position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, accurate maintenance documentation, and compliance with company safety requirements and applicable U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) requirements. Work is performed in shop, yard, roadway, trackside, and outdoor environments and may involve extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, dust, grease, fuel, exhaust, noise, moving equipment, and other industrial conditions.
