In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for laundering uniforms and linens, performing light equipment cleaning and maintenance, and ensuring dryer vents remain clear and functional. You’ll help maintain a clean, efficient workspace while providing courteous service and responding to student questions with professionalism. Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old and comfortable working independently.This position is a part-time, hourly, non-benefits eligible position. The hourly rate for this position is $16.94 per hour.Core Responsibilities<ul><li>Launders all Dining Services’ uniforms & linen. </li><li>Performs light maintenance and cleaning of equipment (must be at least 18 years of age). </li><li>Cleans dryer vents. </li><li>Reports any equipment problems to supervisor. </li><li>Interacts appropriately with the customer. </li><li>Answers students questions in a polite, courteous manner. </li><li>Hours are subject to change. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned to assist the department in obtaining and maintaining its mission.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Education & Training: High school diploma preferred, must have reading skills for using chemicals to remove stains and spots. </li><li>Experience: Previous experience with cleaning and stain removal helpful but not required. </li><li>Knowledge: Will be trained on use of various products for stain removal and washing techniques for various fabrics.</li><li>Other: Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength and follow simple oral instructions. Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisors, fellow workers, students and the rest of the College staff. Ability to follow a schedule. May be asked to work additional hours. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, as well as bend and reach frequently. Must have the ability to lift 20-30 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. The Atwater Servery helper is a vital part of the Dining Services team and assists in ensuring an excellent student dining hall experience. This position is excluded from the regular student hourly wage scale. The compensation for this position is $15.88/hour. Core Responsibilities: Preforms a variety of jobs in the dining room to ensure a pleasing and positive dining experience.<ul><li>Fills, cleans and maintains the various cold food buffets.</li><li>Cleans and maintains the hot food service lines.</li><li>Cleans and maintains various dining room workstations; beverage area, deli bar, etc.</li><li>Washes tables and cleans up messes to maintain the appearance of the dining room.</li><li>Other duties as assigned including dishwashing.</li></ul>Requirements<h3>Essential Functions:</h3><ul><li>Experience Desired: Restaurant waitstaff</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge Desired: Food safety; critical temperatures,etc.</li></ul><h3>Student Employment Eligibility:</h3>Unless restricted by certain visa status, all students with an active status for the semester are eligible for jobs on campus.
