As a Service Helper, you will: • Maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly sweeping, disposing of scrap materials, and clearing walkways and workstations of debris • Ensure that machines are properly cleaned and maintained • Assist in moving and staging raw materials, parts, and tools within the machine shop to support production workflows • Deliver and retrieve materials and components from storage areas or other departments • Help maintain tools and equipment by ensuring they are properly stored, cleaned, and ready for use • Provide general support to operators by assisting with setup, part loading/unloading, and other tasks as needed • Ensure that operators have easy access to materials, tools, and equipment to prevent delays in production • Follow machine shop safety policies and adhere to lockout/tagout procedures • Report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors or team leads • Operate forklift as necessary • Work safely in the manufacturing production environment • Follow detailed verbal/written assembly instructions, processes, and procedures • Properly fill out basic forms, reports, and label products correctly that pertain to job duties • Communicate and work effectively with others • Provide hands-on and verbal job function training to coworkers as needed • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to the Production Supervisor or member of management • Record daily all work performed and correct distribution of work time • Use software systems as needed to complete job duties • Contribute to culture of high-quality products • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions • Perform other job-related duties as directed by supervisor per CBA and company policies.
