Qualifications: • High school diploma/GED • 3+ years of experience assisting in a shop • Current forklift certification • Welding experience • Good construction knowledge • Good ability to use battery and pneumatic hand tools (grinder, drill, hammer drill, etc.) • Good communication and organizational skills with a willingness to work with others; ability to interact professionally and positively with all levels of personnel in the company • Demonstrate qualities that support a safe working environment • Majority of work is performed in a warehouse and manufacturing shop environment; exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, forklifts, and electricity in the manufacturing areas, noise level is usually moderate to high • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; must have ability to use close vision, peripheral vision, and adjust focus; required to stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, crouch, walk, use hands and arms to reach for objects, carry, climb, balance, speak, and hear. A Shop Helper assists the team by maintaining a clean, well-organized work area and performing fabrication prep duties while learning the basics of many other positions in the shop.
