• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
$200,000 - $300,000 a year
Depending on the location the Hospitalist will be part of a team that includes laborists, OB/GYN hospitalists, in house on call OB/GYN specialists, MFM specialists, nurse midwives, and advanced practice providers in addition to residents and medical students. Delivery hospitals include our main referral center at MacDonald Womens Hospital (Cleveland Medical Center or CMC) as well as units at St. Johns, Ahuja, Geauga, and Tripoint Medical Centers. As a system, University Hospitals Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology delivers approximately 8,000 patients a year at five different labor and delivery units across the Cleveland area.
More than 20 distinct neighborhoods are available to residents, and the city boasts a vital arts and culture scene with sites such as the Akron Art Museum, Akron Civic Theatre; additional attractions include Cuyahoga Valley National Park, local festivals and the Akron Zoo and annual event, the All-American Soap Box Derby. They collaborate with the Medical Director, hospitalist Physicians, anesthesia team, nursing leadership team, and hospital medical staff to ensure the patient care delivery model achieves high-quality care that evolves to match the needs of the patients, the hospital, and the community. Actual compensation will be determined by various factors, including (but not limited to) location, specialty, academic rank, board certification, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, internal equity, etc. Participate and initiate Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby staff education and training, including team and skills building through periodic mock codes.
