The role…At Le Vallauris Restaurant, the host is the first point of contact for guests and members, from the moment they arrive until they are seated to dine. As a Host, you are responsible for greeting guests, answering all incoming calls, and creating reservations for the Club or Restaurant, using OpenTable.The Host, has acute people skills and promotes positive experience from the moment anyone arrives up and through their departure. Responsibilities also entail excellent service to all guests, members and staff via friendliness, professional, and organizational efficiency.As a successful Host, you may be responsible for training other reception team members on the processes and service standards set at Le Vallauris. As an experienced Host you are required to be able to master our phone system, have a warm and friendly disposition, ensure all anticipated covers are accounted for during service and that tables are ready for the reservation's arrival.Main Duties<ul><li>Ensure every member and guest is welcomed by name (if local/immediately applicable) and new guests are welcomed in a warm,hospitable manner</li><li>Answer the phone lines in a kind and professional way and confidently answer standard Q&A regarding menus, hours of operation, general inquiries, deliveries, messages for guests, members, and from employees; among other inquiries in full and with complete detail.</li><li>Create reservations in Open Table for guests over the phone or in person</li><li>Punctuate all calls and interactions with friendliness, accuracy, and discretion</li><li>Work with the reception team to ensure excellent service for members and open dialogue is had to manage expectations properly</li><li>Show welcome hospitality to guests and members, sharing any guest concerns or positive feedback to management to assess if follow up is needed</li><li>Influence a fun and positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager</li></ul>Required Skills/Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum of 1 year's  experience in a similar host role</li><li>Must have OpenTable experience</li><li>Must have experience answering  phone lines and answering inquiries professionally, timely and to the best of your abilities.</li><li>Problem solving skills and bring conflict resolution to any anticipated or current matter</li><li>Detail oriented, articulate and ability to multi-task in a high-volume and demanding work environment</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions</li><li>Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays (as needed)</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.</li><li>Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8-10 hours.</li><li>Fast paced movements occasionally required to go from one part of the club to others.</li><li>Must be able to understand and communicate clearly with guests, members, and coworkers.</li><li>Must be able to reach and handle the computer, keyboard, and desktop items.</li><li>Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.</li></ul>Why work with us...Soho House offers competitive compensation packages that feature global benefits and perks. Responsibilities:

No articles shall be removed from occupied guest spaces. Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised • Maintains a professional appearance. Qualifications:
Prerequisites: • Excellent communication and listening skills. • Ability to work under pressure. • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. • Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills. • Must be able to read, write and speak English • Possesses valid Food Handler’s card • Accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written • Be highly detail orientated • Must possesses excellent communication skills • Be professional in appearance and demeanor • Ensures a teamwork environment • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays • Ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates • Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner • Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests Education/Experience: • High School Diploma Physical Requirements: The physical requirements are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
