In 2013 she finally got the opportunity to bring her idea of a "proper" bar and restaurant to her beloved hometown when she launched Proper Brick Oven & Tap Room, located in the heart of Pittsburgh's Cultural District. Proper's meticulous focus on wood-fired pizzas, fresh pastas, creative cocktails, and local craft beers contributes to the vibrancy of the downtown dining scene.
