Under general direction, plans, schedules, assigns, reviews, supervises, and participates in the work of staff performing providing a variety of programs within the Recreation Department, including senior, adult, aquatics, and youth recreation sports, field trips, and special events; develops, delivers, and coordinates program activities and services, and ensures facilities are operated and maintained safely and effectively; coordinates assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies; and performs related duties as assigned. Incumbents are responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, reviewing, and evaluating the work of assigned staff and for overseeing day-to-day recreation activities and programs for youth recreation, sports, field trips, and special events and are responsible for providing technical level support to the Recreation Manager in a variety of areas.
