Escalation/Project Engineer  Hybrid<br/><br/>
Our client is a growing managed service provider in central Connecticut looking to add to their internal/in-house team. This position serves as an escalation point for the Help Desk and will collaborate with the field engineering team to complete project-based work. <br/><br/>
100% remote after 90 day ramp up period (2 days in office, 3 days remote), Office in Hartford CT area<br/>
Compensation range $80,000 - $95,000 + bonus potential and a great benefits package. <br/><br/>
Responsibilities: <br/>
-    Serve as the senior level technician for the in-house team, handling escalated technical support issues <br/>
-    Mentor and train internal staff on solutions to complex technical support issues <br/>
-    Lead complex projects, collaborating with field engineering team to complete cloud migration projects (taking ownership of the remote portion of the project work) <br/>
-    Manage and troubleshoot issues related to network devices, SonicWall firewalls, wireless APs, managed switches<br/>
-    Implement MFA and other managed security services and work with clients to achieve a strong security posture and remain within compliance standards <br/>
-    Act as an expert for Microsoft environments and cloud solutions  <br/><br/>
Qualifications: <br/>
-    5+ years of experience working in a highly technical environment or managed service provider <br/>
-    Desired certifications in the following areas  MS 365, Windows Server, SonicWall <br/>
-    Strong experience with MS 365, Exchange server, OneDrive, Azure, and on prem Exchange <br/>
-    Advanced understanding of networking concepts (managed switches), virtualization (VMware & Hyper-V), Windows Server OS, firewalls, and VoIP systems <br/>
-    Ability to work on escalated tickets and balance project-based work (emphasis on Cloud migration projects)<br/>
-     Must have excellent customer service skills with the ability to multi-task <br/>

You will help address evolving water quality challenges, navigate regulatory requirements, and implement innovative, resilient solutions that protect public health and strengthen community infrastructure. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and engage directly with clients and stakeholders, helping to drive both technical excellence and business development initiatives.</div><br/><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><br/><ul><li>Lead and manage the full lifecycle of drinking water projects, including water distribution systems, storage facilities (tanks and reservoirs), booster pump stations, and treatment plants </li><li>Oversee planning and design efforts for water storage infrastructure, including elevated tanks, ground storage reservoirs, and clearwells, ensuring operational efficiency and long-term reliability </li><li>Evaluate and design treatment solutions for PFAS and other emerging contaminants, incorporating technologies such as granular activated carbon (GAC), ion exchange, and membrane systems </li><li>Conduct and supervise hydraulic modeling, system capacity analyses, water distribution master planning, and lead service line inventory and replacement programs </li><li>Perform water quality assessments and support compliance with federal and state drinking water regulations </li><li>Manage project teams, including internal staff and subconsultants, while maintaining responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and quality </li><li>Prepare and present technical reports, plans and specifications, cost estimates, and client-facing deliverables </li><li>Coordinate with regulatory agencies and support permitting efforts, including engagement with environmental and public health stakeholders </li><li>Provide construction-phase services such as submittal review, RFIs, field observations, and startup/commissioning support </li><li>Mentor and develop junior engineering staff, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing across the team </li><li>Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting proposal development and strategic </li></ul><br/><h3>Skills, Knowledge and Expertise</h3><br/><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline </li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within 6 months </li><li>8+ years of progressive experience in drinking water system planning, design, and infrastructure projects </li><li>Strong expertise in water distribution hydraulics and modeling tools (e.g., WaterGEMS, InfoWater, EPANET) </li><li>Demonstrated experience with water storage system design, including coordination with structural and operational considerations </li><li>Familiarity with PFAS treatment technologies and evolving regulatory frameworks is highly desirable </li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of water treatment processes, including filtration, disinfection, and advanced treatment systems </li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality results on time and within budget </li><li>Proficiency with engineering and design tools such as AutoCAD and GIS preferred </li><li>Experience with funding programs (e.g., State Revolving Fund, USDA Rural Development) is a plus </li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, regulators, and team members </li></ul><div><br/><br/>This is a <strong>hybrid role</strong>, offering the best of both worlds—collaborate in-office with a high-performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week.
