About this position:The Lead Data Scientist provides technical and management leadership across major program tasks and technology assignments supporting the U.S. Census Bureau's Decennial Transformation and Application Modernization (DTAM) initiative. The position carries full accountability for staffing, financial management, delivery methods, and technical oversight across assigned efforts supporting modernization of enterprise data systems, cloud environments, and analytics capabilities.
You will guide architecture, engineering execution, governance, and delivery across the system lifecycle while enabling a secure, cloud-smart, data-centric environment aligned to 2030 Census and American Community Survey objectives. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end systems engineering and integrated solution delivery efforts supporting modernization of large-scale federal data systems.
