Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst Location: Lenexa, KS Responsibilities<ul><li>Partner with Accounting, Operations, and other stakeholders to understand analytical and reporting needs and deliver accurate, actionable business intelligence solutions. </li><li>Gather, analyze, and document reporting and analytical requirements through research, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration. </li><li>Translate complex internal and external business intelligence requests into high-quality analytical products using credible data sources. </li><li>Design, develop, and maintain recurring and ad hoc financial and operational reports, dashboards, and analyses using SQL, Power BI, SSRS, and Excel. </li><li>Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract, transform, and analyze financial, claims, enrollment, capitation, and utilization data. </li><li>Analyze datasets to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities related to budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial performance. </li><li>Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency through validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes. </li><li>Identify and resolve data quality issues and automate reporting processes to improve workflows and self-service analytics. </li><li>Maintain comprehensive documentation of reports, data sources, business logic, and methodologies. </li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a data-focused role leveraging data for business decisions. </li><li>At least 4 years’ experience working with SQL, with a preference for advanced skills and SQL Server. </li><li>Experience developing reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, SSRS, Excel, or similar platforms. </li><li>Proficiency with SSAS and business intelligence concepts is preferred. </li><li>Ability to analyze and interpret complex data trends and patterns. </li><li>Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and attention to detail skills, ensuring data accuracy. </li><li>Ability to translate business questions into effective data solutions. </li><li>Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries (subqueries, window functions, temp tables, CTEs, etc.). </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within tight deadlines. </li></ul>System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America. Summary The Business Intelligence Analyst will leverage their business and technical knowledge to design, develop, and implement reports and analytics solutions in Power BI. Will work with business and technical teams to understand business strategy and objectives, gather information, and ensure business needs are being met throughout the analytics lifecycle. This role is a unique opportunity to deliver valuable content, insights and analysis for business unit leadership across the Bank. The Business Intelligence Analyst will develop and provide significant business insights to help business leaders make better decisions. With a good eye for business, you'll partner with internal stakeholders and help execute our strategic objectives. Responsibilities + Develop Power BI dashboards for Business Unit Leaders across the organization that deliver timely and accurate data, performance indicators, and insights. + Build relationships and collaborate with Business Unit Leaders and internal clients to understand, gather, clean, and transform relevant datasets required to meet reporting and analytical objectives. + Effectively communicate and interact with business and technical personnel to solve complex data problems. + Utilize Power BI, DAX, M, and SQL to expand and optimize the Bank’s portfolio of enterprise reporting and analytics. Improve the bank’s capabilities and processes by researching, presenting, and implementing new Power BI product features. + Perform quantitative and qualitative ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives. This analysis may include analyzing trends and synthesizing multiple datasets to uncover valuable insights. + Build and maintain clear and relevant data and reporting documentation as needed. + Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating and communicating significant issues appropriately. + Ability to serve as a Power BI application subject matter expert and provide assistance, troubleshooting and support for users across the enterprise. + Understand, communicate, and instill the Company’s mission, vision, and values (Pillars of Success). + Complete monthly training in a timely manner to ensure knowledge of bank regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures. + Working at the worksite during regular business hours and/or assigned hours. + Other specified duties as assigned Skills + Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately. + Ability to organize work. + Basic skills with SQL, Python and/or R for gathering data and automating processes and analytics. + Demonstrated skill with DAX, M to gather, transform and visualize data to uncover emerging trends and important patterns in the business. + Strong analytical and research skills. + Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. + Able to prioritize and manage competing projects. + Strong written and verbal communication skills, required. + Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products. Physical Requirements The work environment is typical of a standard office or retail banking setting. The position is sedentary, involving sitting most of the workday; however, the position will involve moving about the workspace to reach entrances/exits, restrooms, conference rooms, or other areas within the work environment. Reaching may be required involving the ability to move arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone, will be used requiring the ability to manipulate a keyboard, mouse, and/or keypad.
